Position Summary & Duties : The Accounts Payable Manager is a direct-hire position working for HGA at our corporate office in Ruston, LA.
The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for supervising the Accounts Payable team, general ledger accounting and reconciliation, preparing regular financial reports, assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements, researching / recommending / implementing process improvements and opportunities to minimize costs, as well as any other tasks assigned by the Controller.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises and develops accounting staff;
- Oversees Accounts Payable process and deadlines;
- Oversees the Vendor Management Portal;
- Oversees daily bank balances and prepares monthly reconciliation;
- Oversees ACH, Wire, and Purchase Card transactions;
- Enters and verifies data in ERP system;
- Maintains Accounts Payable aging, prepaids schedules, cash disbursement ledgers, and contract labor payment records;
- Oversees annual Form 1099 reporting;
- Prepares general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules;
- Prepares cost analyses and regular expense reporting;
- Assists with month-end financial close process, reporting, and analysis;
- Assists with monthly and annual financial reports for management and business unit leaders;
- Assists with budget development and monitoring;
- Recommends changes to work processes and policies to reduce cost;
- Performs other duties assigned by Controller
