Lead Central Office Installer

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Level 4 Lead Telecommunications Installation Technician to lead multiple installation projects and ensure technical and safety standards for AT&T Central Offices. This role involves overseeing project crews, maintaining project documentation, conducting equipment testing, and managing high-stakes installation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate project activities, managing multiple crews and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including equipment use, protective gear, and adherence to all on-site safety measures.
• Conduct installation tasks, including circuit modifications, power transitions, battery work, and software upgrades.
• Install, pull, and terminate cables and wiring as required for network and power configurations, ensuring accurate and secure connections.
• Perform Self-Quality Checks, method of procedures (MOPs), job start agreements (JSAs), and prepare installation documentation such as MDRs and AOTS for submission.
• Provide on-site leadership, including job-site supervision of subcontractor work and assigning work to crew members.
• Analyze job specifications, resolve technical issues with job drawings, and ensure alignment with client requirements.
• Conduct regular equipment tests and turn-ups, and oversee volatile work activities safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in central office installation or equivalent experience, with demonstrated competency in circuit modifications, power distribution, and system testing.
• Certified in Test and Turn-up procedures for relevant equipment.
• Proficient in reading and following job specifications, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong supervisory skills with experience providing on-the-job training and managing project safety and quality.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
