**Salary:** $18 to $20 per hour

This position offers the opportunity to be cross-trained in both front desk administrative duties and optometric technician responsibilities. **Responsibilities:**
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Verify insurance coverage and collect co-payments
- Assist with pre-testing patients before their eye exams
- Perform diagnostic tests and imaging as directed by the optometrist
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and exam rooms
- Provide support to the optometrist as needed
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Willingness to learn and be trained in new skills
