What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Tutors position at Huntington Learning Center, Springfield, PA?
Huntington Learning Center of Springfield is seeking great tutors to join our growing team! Our teachers make a meaningful difference in our students' lives by building the skills and confidence they need to succeed. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or higher and documented teaching experience. Certification is preferred but not required.
This is a unique opportunity to work 1:1 or with small groups of Chester High School students to build math skills, support their classroom work, improve testing outcomes, and inspire confidence and love of learning. The role requires a minimum of 3 weekdays, 6.5 hours per day on location. Candidates with five-day availability will be prioritized.
Candidate requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in teaching, mathematics, or a related field
- Certification is not required, but is preferred
- Documented teaching or formal tutoring experience
- Reliable availability to be on site, in the classroom from 9:00 am until at least 3:30 pm
- Current PA state clearances (we can assist in requesting and obtaining if necessary)
- Professional and personal references upon request
- A positive, thorough, and rigorous approach to help students develop skills, improve testing outcomes, gain confidence, and aspire to be their best in school and in life
