POSITION SUMMARY
The Retention Coordinator provides oversight and guidance in the program planning, coordination, and early monitoring to increase student retention. The Retention Coordinator will be responsible for 1) providing management and oversight of the Early Monitoring Alert Program; 2) training and dissemination of information to Academic Coaches; 3) administration of the RAM Radar web-based monitoring system; 4) supervising, training, and development of peer tutors; 5) and coordination of various programs and activities designed to improve student retention and promote students’ academic, social, and personal development.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate, implement and evaluate the Early Monitoring Alert Program for students on academic probation.
- Maintain all records associated with retention and prepare monthly reports of student attendance, workshop attendance, etc. as required.
- Serve as a Retention Coordinator for a core of students and assist with supervising, planning, developing, and assessing the program.
- Prepare and provide continual updates to Master Roster of students and provide retention reports to record student attendance and participation.
- Assist in the implementation, training and development for faculty, staff, and students of the RAM Radar web-based monitoring system.
- In collaboration with the Director of CAE, Institutional Research and Assessment, and Enrollment Management, assist in the planning, development, and implementation of an annual calendar of academic enrichment and life skills workshops for CAE students.
- Develop and facilitate SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) workshops to educate students about their academic standing.
- Provide assessment and evaluation of program at end of academic year and provide statistical data and reports related to program participation and completion at the end of each semester.
- Performs all other relevant duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in working in Higher Education or K-12.
- Previous supervisory and management experience.
- Knowledge of or experience compiling and assessing statistical data.

- Ability to learn and apply new information quickly and easily.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to multitask and meet scheduled deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
SUPERVISION
- This position reports to the Director of Center for Academic Excellence
SALARY RANGE
- $53,000 Annually, plus benefits
