What are the responsibilities and job description for the Routing supervisor position at Hutto ISD?
Primary Purpose :
The Routing Coordinator’s main role is to prepare and coordinate routes, assignments and schedules of bus drivers and vehicles to ensure safe, efficient, and economical transportation services.
All employees of Hutto ISD are expected to act with integrity, support organizational goals, communicate in a clear and respectful manner, championing the needs of our students and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications : Required :
Required :
- High School Graduate or GED from an accredited institution
- Class B CDL with P & S endorsements
- State of Texas School Bus Driver Certification
- Two years as a bus driver in a public school district
Preferred :
- Texas Association for Pupil Transportation (TAPT) Specialist or Supervisor Certification
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS :
- Ability to direct and schedule personnel
- Effective computer skills
- Effective telephone and communication skills
- Proficient map reading skills
- Superior interpersonal and supervisory skills
- Ability to handle conflict resolution
- Knowledge and understanding of all phases of student transportation
- Understanding of Texas Education Agency (TEA) school transportation funding formula and reporting requirements
- Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
- Extensive knowledge of Hutto ISD procedures
