QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Part-time with flexible scheduling for varied day, evening and weekend shifts. Number of scheduled hours per week varies depending on candidate’s availability and the number of scheduled functions.
- Prior serving and/or customer service experience preferred.
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal communication skills.
- Friendly, outgoing personality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Prepare tables for dining and ensure the cleanliness of linen, silverware, and glassware. Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the tables throughout the dining experience. Clean tables at the completion of service including removal of soiled wares and trash.
- Acquire full knowledge of the dining menu to explain major ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles.
- Approach guest encounters in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Take an active role in understanding and anticipating guest needs to provide authentic and personalized service.
- Guide guests through the dining experience, attending to their needs and providing genuine care and comfort. Greet guests, take orders, and serve food and beverage in compliance with established policies and procedures, brand standards and steps of service. Follow all responsible alcohol service procedures.
- Ensure a timely response to guest requests and address concerns beyond satisfaction.
- Prepare workstation prior to opening and keep station neat and clean while serving guests.
- Complete assigned side-work and related cleaning duties before, during and after shift.
- Report to work when scheduled and in proper uniform.
- Maintain a consistent professional and positive attitude when communicating with guests, vendors and associates.
- Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures.
- Any other tasks / duties as requested by management.
