The Maintenance Fabrication/Kitting Attendant is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. All tasks must be completed in accordance with Hydro safety policies, as well as EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA regulations.
- Perform minor repairs on buildings, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Implement preventative maintenance measures
- Maintain an inventory of repair equipment and supplies
- Carry out other maintenance tasks as requested.
- Organize the Kiting cage and parts warehouses.
- Weld steel and aluminum using Stick, MIG, and TIG methods
- Operate basic machine shop equipment
- Support and promote continuous reliability improvement standards and practices
- Adhere to applicable Job Safety Analysis and Work Instructions
- Basic understanding of safety principles
- Ability to identify risks and hazards
- General knowledge of quality standards
- Strong housekeeping and organizational skills
- Proficient in basic computer applications
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Fundamental mathematical skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years of general maintenance experience is preferred
- Ability to work a full 12-hour shift on a set schedule
