Job Summary :
Hytera US Inc. is looking for an early to mid-level (3-5 years) highly talented accounting / collections professional to join the team. You will request and pursue payment on delinquent accounts and prepare financial reports to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss and tax liabilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
None.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Reconcile customer accounts and manage accounts receivable collections.
Follow established guidelines to review and update account status.
Maintain log of payment promises and pertinent account details; schedule follow up communication with account holders.
Monitor accounts receivable and cash receipt reports.
Perform general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
Prepare periodic monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Maintain the general ledger.
Prepare tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork and accurate quarterly and annual tax reports.
Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.
Reconcile bank accounts daily, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks.
Verify payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to appropriate accounts.
Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
File required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Highly proficient with accounting software, SAP preferred.
Basic understanding of principles and processes of customer service
Ability to communicate with account holders in a courteous manner
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required or significant work experience
Three to five years of accounting experience required
Expertise in state, federal, and sales use tax filing, minimum 3 years
