Hyundai Motor Group North American Quality Center. (NAQC) is currently looking for a Engineer I (Chassis/Trim/Body) at Chino/Irvine, CA office who will:

We are seeking a motivated Chassis/Trim/Body Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will focus on the continuous development and enhancement of the product quality and customer satisfaction of current vehicles, specifically in the areas of Chassis/Trim/Body Systems.

The ideal candidate is

• Investigate and support the testing of chassis quality issues in Hyundai, Genesis, or Kia vehicles by responding to requests from Hyundai Motor Group, sales affiliates, vehicle assembly plants, and in cases of sudden increases in warranty claims.
• Knowledge of Chassis Fundamental (NVH, brake systems, fuel systems, HVAC systems, steering systems, suspension, etc.)
• Knowledge of Interior/Exterior/Seat/Moving Fundamental (headlamp, seat, window motor, wiper, etc.)
• Conduct field or on-site investigations to collect both subjective and objective data, analyze the data to diagnose root causes, and validate the effectiveness of improvements.
• Benchmark competitive vehicle designs, diagnostic procedures, and technical service bulletins (TSBs) to research differences and enhance our systems and materials.
• Study various external indices (e.g., J.D. Power, Consumer Reports), customer forums, and other automotive syndicated studies to identify market trends and customer feedback.
• Research, procure, and maintain new technologies, tools, and methods for data acquisition and analysis.
• Manage schedules and coordinate with outsourced companies to ensure all deliverables are met according to contract requirements.
• Assist vendors and address issues that may arise to maintain project schedules.
• Initiate and complete tasks while following the guidance of the manager and senior engineer.
• Create and present technical reports as assigned.
• Must be a self-starter.

• Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility with travel (domestic and international) is required.

• Travel up to 30% of the time, both domestically and internationally.

• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in automotive engineering, with a strong preference for Chassis/Trim/Body experience.
• Preferred knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles and practices.
