What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialist - Production Control (Process) position at Hyundai Mobis?
The Plastics Process Control Specialist is responsible for monitoring and managing the Molding/Paint production plan, shipping plan, and trucks in route to Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama and KIA Motors Manufacturing Georgia plants.
Responsibilities:Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Monitor the status of all lines of production and manage utilization of each line
- Contact relevant parties when an issue arises and inform them on what the issue is and the current status
- Manage pattern times of all lines of production
- Gather information from managers about counter measures on specific downtime issues
- Communicate with other members of production control about any significant changes in production plan and/or downtimes
- Support team members with inventory management decisions
- Daily/Weekly/Monthly Production/ Downtime and Production reports
- Responsible for updating shipping and hourly schedules to ensure we have parts in a timely manner
- Responsible for knowing how the plant is running at all times during shift
- Support for Controlling Production/Inventory of Plastic Division.
- Support of Production Plan Management of Plastic Division.
- Provide solutions and alternative methods for resolving incorrect specification in production line or unexpected production plan changes.
- Support the testing and integration of new parts for production
- Comply with and promote safety in the workplace
- All other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability desired for this position.)
Preferred Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management SCM, MIS or related field; or Equivalent related experience in automotive manufacturing or production planning
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Excellent analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills

Working Conditions
- 90% office, 10% production floor
- Overtime as needed
