What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Manager position at I Do Events?

What we’re looking for: We are in search of a detail oriented, hard working, organized individual who can help with event delivery and pickup when a pull behind trailer is needed. In addition, they’ll keep track of all our vans/trailers including checking regular maintenance(just checking/keeping track of, will not need to do physical maintenance on the vehicles).
What you get to do:
- Hook up trailer to company vehicle and transferring to venues and back to warehouse
- Help with the setup or teardown of the chairs and tables along with other items on the order
- Be organized and detail oriented, utilizing checklists or other systems to ensure no task is left undone; anticipate events and plan ahead; prepare for the unexpected; remain focused on the end result
- Review all vehicles and make sure they are up to date on maintenance
- Drop off vehicles to body shop when needed
Desired Qualifications:
- 18yrs or older
- Valid driver license
- Must be able to pull, maneuver, backup, and park pull behind trailers up to 20ft long
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Ability to be on your feet for 8 hour shifts
Hours: Part time hours, mainly on Friday, Saturday and Sunday but some weekdays if possible. Timing is widespread between arriving at the office at 7am for early morning setups and sometimes ending shifts at 3am from late night teardowns after weddings. Safety plays a major role in scheduling so we always take that into consideration!
