JOB SUMMARY
As a Senior Associate Scientist in High Throughput Experimentation (HTE) Operations, you will play a vital role in driving innovative research by managing critical laboratory processes. Your responsibilities will span reagent room management, compound management, and kit preparation for reaction optimization—each essential for supporting high-quality library production and advancing experimental success. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge automated platforms and contribute directly to the efficiency and impact of our scientific initiatives. This role is based at our San Diego headquarters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Senior Associate Scientist in High-Throughput Experimentation (HTE) Operations, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our research initiatives. Your responsibilities will include :
Reagent Inventory Management
Receive, label and properly store chemistry reagents and building blocks
Perform inventory reconciliation and coordinate proper disposal of depleted reagents
Maintain accurate safety data sheets in database
Ensure safety compliance in chemical handling and storage
Compound Management & Sample Processing
Execute assay-ready plate requests for small molecules
Process solid sample requests for internal and external use
Maintain and calibrate automation systems
Develop and refine automation protocols
Conduct regular quality control checks on instruments
Assist in the distribution process of microscale libraries
Tare and receive vials
High Throughput Chemistry
Dispense building blocks for microscale libraries on a weekly basis
Prepare standardized reaction chemistry kits containing precisely measured reagents, catalysts, and materials for chemical optimization experiments
Assist in library production
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in academia or the industry, or a Master’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in laboratory automation systems, with a demonstrated ability to operate and troubleshoot complex instrumentation.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Ability to make independent decisions and possess the confidence to assess situations autonomously, weigh alternatives, and take decisive action when necessary, contributing to the success of the team and the organization as a whole.

Compensation Range : $90K - $122K
