Purpose: Diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems for all product lines, to include returned materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Analysis and data entry of RMA’s

· Analyze, data entry and repair all types of products for first yield failures

· Help guide production personnel on proper handling/assembly of products to reduce failures.

· Answer tech calls when other engineers are not available

· Help production by performing PPE or tester duties

· Assist engineers during special projects

· Communicates assembly procedures and problems with Engineering, PPE and Production staff.

· Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance

· Analyzes and interprets and tests data in support of engineering projects.

· Adjusts, calibrates, aligns and modifies circuitry and components while record effects on unit performance.

· Writes technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system’s operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications and functional limitations.

HIRING REQUISITES:

Education: High School diploma or GED and/or equivalent combination of education experience and training.

Experience: Minimum six months experience in electronics field to include testing and troubleshooting regarding electric controls.

Skills: Demonstrates proficiency in soldering and de-soldering, ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and schematic diagrams, ability to write routine reports and correspondences data entry skills to include use of Microsoft Excel Program, organizational interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work with mathematical concepts to include fundamentals of algebra, geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to solve practical programs and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of written, oral and diagram, or schedule forms.

Multi- tasking: Physical inspection of materials and supplies, entering computer data, completing required documentation; gathering all materials required to conduct work and to assemble final product to pack and ship.

Adaptability/Flexibility: Maintains composure and focus and ably responds to changing priorities or schedules, unexpected/unanticipated work interruptions, remains “calm under fire”; positively receives corrective counseling and/or training requiring change in work processes and approach. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality while applying feedback to improve performance.

Self –Direction: Industrious and remains productive in absence of supervision; able to work with limited instruction focusing work on achieving established priorities.

Problem Solving Deals with problems involving a limited number of concrete variables; initiates appropriate actions to resolve problems whether technical or interpersonal in nature. Communication: Reads, speaks and writes English (as per “Essential Skills” above)- solid listening comprehension skills; expresses concerns appropriately and ideas clearly; reading comprehension to reliably apply MPI information to tasks to be performed properly; verbal communications are readily understood; communicates information at appropriate time to appropriate people which enables operations to run smoothly and productively.

Essential Physical/Mental/Sensory Demands:

Physical –* (moderate demand) Sit, stand, walk, reach, ,carry;frequent but not repetitively lifting or moving up to 40 *lbs. individually, up to 80lbs as a team; manual and digital dexterity- grip, grasp, hold, push/pull /press; physically manipulating; keep pace with progressive flow of activities.

Auditory (high demand) – communicating with manufacturing associates and engineering staff, discern instruction, hear announcements, alarms.

Visual – ( high demand) - ability to distinguish color, inspect blemishes or damage, read MPIs and other resource documents; close visual focus to include exercise of peripheral judgment and depth perception involved in manual assembly work; recognize and interact with computer displays.

Mental alertness and concentration: (moderate demand) Synthesizes complex or diverse information; collects and researches data, focuses on task while responding to interruptions; multiple items or activities on which to concurrently focus and/or monitor.

Environmental (moderate demand) – exposure to dust and fibers, noise, chemical fumes mitigated by PPE, ventilation and vacuum systems.
