Beehive Federal Credit Union's Digital Branch, located in Rexburg, is seeking a full-time Consumer Loan Processor to assist members with their digital product and service needs related to accounts and loans. 40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 8 : 30-5 : 30 and Friday, 8 : 30-6 : 00.The expected pay is $18.00 per hour, DOE. Job Description Assist members with their digital product and service needs related to accounts and loans. Establish and deepen relationships with members by providing direction through interaction and consultative interview process in person, over the phone, or through online communication. Identify needs and goals and match them with the appropriate products and / or service. Interviews or reviews member loan applications to develop information concerning their loan needs, earnings, and financial condition. Analyze the current financial position or members to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Will forward the loan request to higher levels of authority. Assist members with other digital account needs. Including, but not limited to, lending and transaction approvals, applications, documents, and fundings. Maintain ahigh level of product knowledge by learning new consulting techniques, new product features and benefits, and market trends. Assist with processing consumer loan reports. Communicate with members through multi-channel communication tools to confirm and teach the correct process for obtaining a product or service. Follow up with new accounts and loans to make certain members have access and understand the credit union's products. Answer questions about products, services, and resolve problems that are within their authority to resolve. Refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations. Perform other duties as assigned and perform all duties in compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act. Work at or attend community events as assigned. Strived in all that they do to enhance the member experience at BFCU, including actively engaging in needs-based cross-servicing. Qualifications Six months to two years of similar or related experience; prefer minimum of one year of member service experience with demonstrated success cross-servicing products and services within a financial industry. High school or equivalent education. A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, as well as exceptional courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and / or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contact becoming important and fostering sound relationship with other entities (companies and / or individuals) becomes necessary.Must fully support Beehive's brand philosophy and strategy of using our power to help our friends. Able to operator a 10-key calculator and computer keyboard. Must provide friendly, professional, personal service to all members. This position may require extended periods of standing or sitting and may include long periods of typing and repetitive motion. Must possess the ability to lift and carry items sometimes weighing as much as 50 pounds.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Physical Requirements Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must by capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Working Conditions Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.
