Cattle Hauler Semi Driver
At The J.R. Simplot Company, we are a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho.
We operate an integrated portfolio including food processing, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate tractor/trailer combinations to transport cattle and agriculture products in regional delivery areas or long hauls
2. Assist with loading/unloading of products, operating forklifts and lifting up to 50 pounds
3. Load/unload livestock while ensuring accurate records on headcount and weights
4. Complete pre- and post-trip inspections to check for defects and maintain equipment
5. Follow DOT regulations and maintain daily driver's logs
Requirements:
Hold a valid CDL/DOT Class A driver's license, with all endorsements except buses
Ability to read/interpret documents such as safety rules, road signs and operating instructions
Work Environment:
While performing job duties, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical equipment.
