Nuclear Engineer SR at Idaho Environmental Coalition, LLC in Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Requisition : 2408 Position Title : Nuclear Engineer, Sr. Work Location : Site - INTEC and IWTU SNF Shift Schedule : Monday - Thursday 4x10's Salary Grade : 18 Range : Min $104,970 Mid $131,060 Max $164,125 Position Purpose : Provide nuclear safety support to the INTEC Spent Nuclear Fuel and / or Integrated Waste Treatment Unit projects under the mentorship and direction of the Nuclear Safety Technical Lead. Work aggressively to complete the Safety Analyst Qualification requirements in STD-1107 and the USQ qualification requirements in MCP-123. Once qualified the position requires that applicant perform nuclear and non-nuclear risk and hazard analyses to ensure safe operation of nuclear and / or non-nuclear facilities. Specific duties may include, but are not necessarily limited to hazard identification, hazard analysis, facility hazard categorization, accident analysis, selection of controls, and development of associated safety basis documents including unreviewed safety question determinations, documented safety analysis, technical safety requirements, safety assessment documents, facility safety plans, and facility safety analysis with minimal oversight by the Technical Lead / Nuclear Safety Manager. Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education / Experience) : Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science. Position Responsibilities : Complete Safety Analyst qualification requirements. Complete USQ Preparer qualification requirements. Provide USQ review support as assigned by the Technical Lead. Perform SAC assessments as assigned by the Technical Lead. Perform SAR and TSR reviews and updates as assigned by the Technical Lead. Perform other duties as assigned by the Technical Lead or the Nuc / Crit Safety Manager.
