IES Residential (IESR) is seeking a dynamic Plumbing Field Instructor to join our team at our Education Center in Stafford, Texas! Our goal is to empower the next generation of skilled professionals through hands-on instruction and mentorship. The ideal candidate will possess a journeyman or master plumbing license and a comprehensive understanding of all phases of residential construction. This role is essential in developing the skills and knowledge of our students, ensuring they are well-prepared for successful careers in the plumbing industry.
In this role, you’ll be responsible in providing your expertise and knowledge that support our program. Having that leadership along with the desire to set the tone of our culture and being a part of the solution and making an impact on the future of construction in bringing back the trades. Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective training sessions in plumbing techniques and best practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
- Collaborate with the education team to enhance and develop course materials that meet the needs of students and industry requirements.
- Provide field instruction, guiding students through real-world plumbing projects to reinforce theoretical knowledge with practical experience.
- Foster a supportive learning environment, offering guidance, feedback, and encouragement to students to help them succeed.
- Evaluate student progress through practical assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
- Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all students understand and adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
- Work closely with other instructors and staff to maintain a cohesive educational approach and share best practices.

Specific Qualifications
Requirements:
- Valid journeyman, tradesman or master plumbing license required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the plumbing industry, with a strong understanding of residential construction experience
- Previous experience as a crew lead in all phases of residential new construction preferred
- Previous experience in teaching or training is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical concepts.
- A genuine enthusiasm for training and mentoring students, with a commitment to their success.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students of diverse backgrounds and skills levels.
- Strong organizational abilities to manager multiple training sessions and student assessments.
