We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Assistant Electrical Project Manager to support our electrical team in the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical systems in new home construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and project management principles, with a passion for ensuring quality and safety standards are met in every phase of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating electrical installations and services for new home builds, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Scheduling & Planning: Help develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and address delays or issues that may arise during construction. Ensure all electrical tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Procurement & Material Management: Assist with procurement of electrical materials and equipment, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available on-site as needed and within budget.
Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on electrical installations, ensuring all work complies with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Subcontractor & Vendor Liaison: Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to coordinate electrical work, address any issues, and ensure smooth operation of the electrical components in the home construction.
Compliance & Safety: Assist in ensuring that all electrical installations meet safety regulations and standards. Work with the team to promote a safety-first culture on-site and report safety hazards.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project records, including change orders, materials inventory, daily progress reports, and other documentation as needed.
Budget Tracking: Help monitor and track the electrical portion of the project budget, including labor costs, material costs, and any other expenses related to electrical installations.
Client Communication: Communicate with clients, homeowners, and other stakeholders to provide updates on the progress of electrical work and address any concerns or special requests.

Specific Qualifications
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in electrical systems or project management within the construction industry. Experience in residential or new home construction is a plus.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project needs.
