Job Summary
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about scientific research, have excellent academic performance, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multi-functional environment. A robust background in applied laboratory settings, computer science, or cheminformatics is essential. Previous research experience in these areas is highly preferred.
The Structural Elucidation Group focuses on studying and exploring the structure and function of various Scent and Taste molecules. We utilize a wide range of skills and techniques, including NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) spectroscopy and computational sciences. The ideal candidate will have background knowledge or prior experience with one or more of these techniques and will have the opportunity to apply their expertise, along with complementary capabilities, to solve problems in support of our company's molecule ingredient pipeline.
Interns will be responsible for maintaining safe laboratory practices, presenting data, and interpreting results to a team of scientists. Additionally, interns will attend departmental and team meetings to gain a broader perspective of the Scent and Taste industry. Our goal is to provide an in-person experience whenever possible, allowing future talent to truly experience working in a Scent and Taste company.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field, with demonstrated interest and/or experience in research areas relevant to the Scent and Taste industry.
- Strong academic background in chemistry, computer science, biochemistry, or informatics.
- Basic laboratory skills and research experience, including NMR, GC mass spectrometry, LC mass spectrometry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and safe lab practices.
- Preferred background in computer science and programming fundamentals, particularly in organic chemistry.
