Job Description:
As Project Coordinator, you will ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with project commitments or specific objectives. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and administration of tasks by ensuring quality and productivity standards are maintained while meeting client schedules. You will work with the Program Manager to assist in administrative tasks to ensure programs success. In addition, you will be responsible for status and task management reports for projects. As needed, you will develop written, submission and presentation-ready communications for multiple programs as required. You may also assume the lead role on any initiative that involves review and/or generation of technical materials for the Program Management Office on several DoD contracts.
Essential Responsibilities include:
- Track all upcoming deliveries ensuring we meet schedule deadlines.
- Work with both program personnel and the Program Control Analysts to track schedules
and material identifying and reporting on any problems/issues to the Program Managers
and the VP, PMO.
- Oversee the tracking of program deliverables in coordination with PM and PCO.
- Assist the Program Managers in processing artifacts required for program execution (e.g.
- visit requests, country clearances).
- Assist in coordinating and developing proposal artifacts for PMO proposals and ROMs that fall outside normal BD targets (e.g., to current customers, small efforts that do not hit desired BD targets, subcontract responses).
- Format, edit, wordsmith, proof and finalize all Program and Business Development documentation products.
- Maximize form and function of all Training documentation to include format, layout, text flow, figure and table assignments, and final proofing.
- Standardize, edit, and publish technical artifacts such as White Papers, Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Value Engineering Change Proposals (VECP), Trip reports, Service Level Agreement (SLA) reports, Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), etc.
- Contribute to the preparation and production of technical briefings and presentations; creating or editing and finalizing PowerPoint® slide decks as required.
- Participate in designated peer review and lessons learned groups.
- Interview subject matter experts to gain an understanding of their domain’ processes, technologies, operations and business needs and transform that knowledge into technically compliant instruction, storylines and proposal inputs.
- Develop and maintain documentation templates as required.
- Keep abreast of potential process improvements and recommend to VP PMO, as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Experience/Skills:
• Four (4) to Six (6) years of experience editing and writing technical documentation
within the information technology field to include interpreting engineering and
maintenance specifications, drawings procedures.
• Excellent technical writing skills and proven ability to peer review technical documents
for grammar, content, and style.
• Demonstrated ability to document business processes and write detailed functional
requirements.
• Capable of understanding complex, technical topics and related jargon and translating it
for colleagues and consumers who have nontechnical backgrounds.
• Must be able to work well with others, such as other writers, designers, editors, and
illustrators; as well as the technical people whose information being explained.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to work under tight timeframes.
• Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Excellent active listening skills.
• Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
• Team player able to work collaboratively with and through others.
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related discipline
• Certification in Technical Writing (preferred)
• Expertise in use of collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft ® SQL, SharePoint, Project and Office)
• Basic use of graphics tools such as Adobe Illustrator ®
• Markup and Style Languages (HTML, XML, and CSS) a plus

Clearance: US Government Secret (S) eligibility. Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Travel: Travel within the continental United States may be required periodically.
