Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our dynamic staffing and recruitment company. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping financial strategy, optimizing operational efficiency, and supporting scalable growth in a competitive and fast-paced industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics in the staffing sector.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support revenue growth and margin improvement.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and payroll funding—especially critical in a staffing environment with high volume payroll cycles.
- Oversee accounting, tax, audit, and compliance functions, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, auditors.
- Monitor KPIs and operational metrics, providing insights to the executive team for informed decision-making.
- Support the expansion of service offerings and geographic footprint through data-driven financial analysis.
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize billing, collections, and vendor management processes.
- Assess and manage financial risks related to client credit, contingent workforce liabilities, and operational expenses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred).
- 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years in the staffing, recruitment, or professional services industry.
- Deep understanding of payroll funding models, temporary labor billing, and timekeeping/billing systems.
- Experience with financial reporting, compliance, and audit in high-growth environments.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Hands-on experience with ERP, accounting, and payroll systems used in staffing operations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing vendor funding or invoice factoring relationships.
