About the Opportunity
A small manufacturing company in Ontario, CA, is preparing for a sale and is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead its financial operations during this critical transition period. The Controller/CFO will report directly to the Board of Directors and provide strategic financial oversight, ensuring a smooth transition while maintaining financial stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support the transition.
- Work closely with the Board of Directors to prepare financial statements and due diligence materials for the sale.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial controls.
- Manage cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and legal teams.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks related to the sale.
- Provide leadership on financial strategy and decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10 years of financial leadership experience (Controller, CFO, or equivalent).
- Strong manufacturing industry experience.
- Proven track record in M&A, financial due diligence, and business transitions.
- Expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Compensation
- Compensation is open for discussion and will be based on experience.

Pay: $70.00 - $90.00 per hour open to discuss.
Expected hours: 40 per week
