IT MANAGER
Ilmor Engineering provides design, development, testing, and manufacturing of performance engines and parts for major manufacturers and racing teams throughout the world. Our clients include automotive, marine, IndyCar, ARCA, among others. All of our high-performance engines and components are precision engineered to the highest standards—utilizing the latest manufacturing technologies and quality systems.

Position Summary
IT manager, based at our HQ in Plymouth, MI where you'll support a highly technical workforce consisting of engineers, operational assemblers and manufacturing personnel, and skilled administrative staff across. With occasional brief trips to our second facility in Mooresville, NC, you will be a critical member of our manager team.
The technology varies between our two different facilities, but Ilmor’s core IT infrastructure is fully redundant and relies upon top tier vendor hardware networked over fiber optic, copper, and wireless topologies.
Your internal customers, which include Motorsport, Marine, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Administrative staff, use mobile computing devices and PCs running Windows, Android and iOS operating systems to virtually and physically.
Areas of Responsibility
- Interact with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
- Establish and maintain a positive, productive relationship with operational leadership and staff
- Effectively manage third party IT relationships
- Clearly communicate goals, objectives and overall IT roadmap to all stakeholders
- Manage incident resolution service level agreements (SLAs)
- Lead infrastructure builds and maintenance in existing facilities
- Plan, organize, schedule, and supervise the day-to-day technical support activities, including troubleshooting, customer service issues, approvals, and installations
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and processes
- Oversee management of equipment, parts inventory and technology budget
- Provide remote support for mobile employees
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all systems and data
Requirements for Consideration
- 4 years of IT or related experience
- Strong understanding of business operations
- Full knowledge of current Microsoft operating sytems and Office suites
- Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, IP telephony, Wireless technologies
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to research requests for a viable solution amenable to all
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues
- Ability to travel up to 10% to our second facility in Mooresville, NC.
- Ability to travel between Plymouth, MI and New Hudson, MI Locations
