IT Network Administrator

Description

ILWU Federal Credit Union is a growing financial institution founded in 1954. We serve Members of the International Longshore and Warehouse Workers Union and their families within California, Hawaii and Alaska. We currently operate branches in Wilmington, San Pedro, Long Beach, Oakland, San Francisco and Hawaii. 

The Network Administrator is responsible for overseeing ILWU Credit Union computer systems or database networks to ensure proper maintenance and security. Duties include working with other Credit Union staff and IT employees to identify network or computer system needs, overseeing the installation of new hardware or software, and engaging employees for feedback to identify and isolate issues.

The Call Center Manager will be located at our Headquarters office in the Bixby Knolls area of Long Beach, California and includes full benefits for you and your dependents paid for by the Credit Union as well as a generous 401k match.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist in network design and implementation
• Provide network support with a variety of operating systems
• Install and configure computer network equipment
• Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations
• Provide network support to users
• Maintain servers and relevant hardware, applications, services, and settings
• Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources
• Implement and manage back-up
• Evaluate and recommend system upgrades
• Monitor network to ensure optimal performance
• Create and maintain network users/permissions
• Test release of products to minimize user impact and ensure compatibility
• Create technical support documentation for systems and applications
• Work with IT team to meet/exceed established service goals
• Review, identify, analyze and recommend process/workflow changes to improve and maintain the highest level of IT efficiency
• Perform other specific and delegated duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts
• Proven network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skills
• Hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
• Knowledge of computing infrastructures
• Familiarity with server management and monitoring tools
• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Proficiency with scripting languages
• Ability to competently analyze, design, and provide recommendations on processes and service delivery efficiencies
• Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding Credit Union records and data, protect and adhere to member privacy and confidentiality guidelines
• Must be willing and able to travel between branches.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to pass background, credit and bondability checks

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5 years’ experience in a network administration role preferred
• Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019 preferred
• Previous experience with Cisco switches and routers preferred
• MCSE certification a plus
• CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP certification a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Most work is performed in an air-conditioned and heated office environment with exposure to basic office equipment and typical moderate office noise.

Salary : $88,900 - $147,000
