Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Impact Staffing International (ISI) is seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator to drive the financial backbone of our client’s organization through precise and efficient payroll management. We are searching for someone with 4 years of payroll experience in a union organization. This high-level role involves detailed data entry for 150 field employees across 5 union affiliates, ensuring accurate payroll, benefits, and tax processing per union requirements. Key responsibilities include compiling, coding, and entering daily timesheets by job and location, logging and reporting tax data, making tax payments with CFO approval, and maintaining compliance with payroll systems and trackers. The Payroll Administrator will also handle employment verifications, assist with billing (transposing hours into Excel bills for accounting review), and prepare for accounts payable, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail at every step. Weekly deadlines are critical; timesheets must be processed by Wednesday afternoon to ensure payments on Thursday are timely. The role requires processing 50 timesheets daily, with each sheet covering 2-5 field employees. Strong communication skills are essential. Prior union payroll experience with Sage 300/Timberline software are preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to stay committed during busy periods.
