We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Director to join Jamco, a business segment within the Imperative Logistics Group. In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to the President and leadership team—guiding HR strategy, enabling operational success, and driving people-centric solutions that improve performance, culture, and employee engagement.
You’ll play a critical role in assessing workforce needs, optimizing HR processes, and supporting frontline and leadership teams. The successful Human Resources Director is bilingual in English/Spanish, combines deep HR operational expertise with strong business acumen, excellent judgment, and a proven ability to align people strategies with business goals in a fast-paced, high-touch environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to align HR strategies with business goals, workforce planning, and performance objectives.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with employees and leaders across all levels of the organization.
- Lead and coach the HR team in delivering day-to-day HR operations and people programs.
- Collaborate with Imperative’s HR team to execute key initiatives in talent management, employee development, DEI, total rewards, and more.
- Foster a culture of performance, innovation, and accountability through leadership coaching and change management
- Identify and address staffing needs in partnership with department heads.
- Support employee engagement efforts and deliver a best-in-class employee experience.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and HR policies.
- Stay current on HR trends and best practices and proactively recommend improvements.
- Oversee onboarding, compensation, benefits, training, investigations, and compliance within the business unit.
- Champion and drive a culture of high performance, innovation, and accountability while maintaining operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10 years of progressive HR/People Partner experience, preferably in high-growth manufacturing and/or distribution environments.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Proven track record of influencing senior leaders and aligning people strategies to business outcomes.
- Strong expertise in one or more areas: org design, learning & development, talent management, DEI, or change management.
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS system.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across a matrixed organization.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
