Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations through accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct account analysis and maintain accurate records of debits and credits.
- Implement and maintain accounting software systems to streamline processes.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts to support business planning.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical accounting guidance.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare reports on financial performance.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and insights from public accounting experience.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Extensive experience in Quickbooks.
- Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast financial trends effectively.
- Experience in technical accounting matters and account analysis is essential.
- Previous experience in public accounting is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- At least five years of Accounting or Finance experience in the construction insdustry.
