Our client is seeking a Plant Controller
Summary
The Plant Controller will oversee all financial operations and activities at the manufacturing facility. This role involves managing budgets, analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the plant's operational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Initiate and monitor physical inventory and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy, investigate variances, and resolve issues.
- Perform accounting, analysis & reporting of manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, overhead, & freight.
- Compare actual costs to estimates and work with other departments on determining causes & corrective actions.
- Investigate inventory counting variances and resolve issues.
- Reporting & analysis of inventory turnover, including highlight of slow moving, non-conforming & obsolete parts.
- Fixed asset accounting, including physical counts & tracking asset utilization.
- Provide back-up & support for other accounting functions as needed, including special projects as assigned.
- Assist in developing continuous monitoring programs for key business areas using data analysis.
- Support internal and external audit requests during annual and interim audits Ad-hoc financial analysis and other duties as assigned.
- Develop and manage the plant's annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with operations teams to optimize cost efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee inventory management and cost accounting processes.
- Lead financial audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- (CPA or CMA preferred)
- Must have Plant Accounting experience
- 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Inventory control and cost control experience (manufacturing or warehousing)
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Proficiency in ERP, knowledge of SAP
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Able to build and manage collaborative relationships with a variety of people
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
