Job Summary:

The AM/PM Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and efficient kitchen environment by ensuring all dishware, utensils, and kitchen tools are properly cleaned and sanitized. This role also supports food preparation tasks for both à la carte service and banquets, contributes to employee meals (AM shift), and assists with floor cleaning (PM shift). The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of kitchen operations, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Expedite the cleaning and sanitation of glassware, silverware, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils in a timely manner.
• Assist in food preparation for both à la carte service and banquets.
• Ensure compliance with cleaning and sanitation standards.
• AM Shift: Assist with the preparation of the employee meal.
• PM Shift: Assist with cleaning the floors.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred.
• General cleaning knowledge and familiarity with dishwashing equipment and practices.
• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Duties Include:

• Follow all rules and regulations outlined in the employee manual.
• Set up, operate, and break down dishwashing equipment, ensuring the correct use of related chemicals.
• Prepare and store all food-related items as designated, ensuring proper labeling and dating.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of buffets as needed.
• Remove garbage and recyclables from the kitchen and dispose of them properly.
• Report any workplace hazards, waste, or issues to the immediate supervisor or management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, kitchen equipment, and surrounding areas.
• Check and properly store kitchen deliveries promptly.
• Ensure member satisfaction by adhering to high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Work in hot, steamy, and occasionally cold environments.
• Operate sharp knives and other sharp instruments safely.
• Lift, pull, or move items weighing 25 lbs. or more with assistance as needed.
• Perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, and pushing/pulling.
• Execute hand and finger movements required to operate dishwashing equipment and other tools.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate protective wear.
