Fabricator/Shipper

Title: Fabricator/Shipper
Location: Visalia, CA
Duration: 12 Months on W2

Shift: 2nd Shift 3:00-pm to 11:30-pm

Responsibilities:

• Install mid-panels with a hand drill.
• Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
• Adhere to all Kawneer rules and regulations.
• Performs quality inspections and reports errors.
• Apply panic rods with drill assist in adjusting.
• Stacks custom rails according to job and ship date.
• Verifies all measurements for accuracy and quality.
• Utilizes hand router to make any cut outs needed.
• Apply door hardware such as butt-hinges and pivots.
• Package the screws for hinges, etc and affix to door.
• Sand, clean and mark proper identification on all jobs.
• Complete checklists, reports, and logs as needed.
• Identifies material by part number and product finish.
• Knowledge and ability to follow the MDR scrap material process.
• Operate and maintain power sander, shaper, router, and hand drills.
• Learning to identify and retrieve needed stock or custom hardware from storage bins.
• Use a drill to countersink all punched holes and prepare for stock or custom hardware applications.
• Reads and interprets complex take-off sheets, cut lists, and custom shop orders to verify hardware location.
• Loads and unloads heavy materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, shelves, and machinery by hand.

Physical Demands:

• Able to measure to 1/32 of an inch.
• Able to work 12-hour days.
• Able to wear required PPE.
• Able to bend and twist repetitively
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Able to repetitively lift up to 40 pounds or 1/3 of your body weight.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Additional​:

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondents.
• One to six months related work experience is preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors.
• Ability to count, to add, to subtract and to multiply simple numbers.
• Ability to deal with and respond to minor problems in standard work situations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets documents such as, operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules and procedure manuals.
