Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Telecommunications Project Manager to oversee cloud-based phone system installations and deployments for our clients. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring they stay on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in telecommunications project management and an understanding of cloud-based phone systems, VoIP technologies, and structured cabling. This position requires excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to coordinate between clients, technicians, vendors, and internal teams.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
- Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, risk assessments, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including technicians, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to keep installations on track.
- Manage the scheduling of project resources, ensuring optimal allocation to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, ensuring projects align with client expectations.
Technical Expertise:
- Oversee installations, programming, and configuration of cloud-based phone systems.
- Understand structured cabling, paging systems, and VoIP networking to effectively plan and manage installations.
- Stay up to date with telecommunications industry advancements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and milestones.
- Conduct meetings with internal teams, clients, and vendors to gather requirements, define project goals, and align expectations.
- Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to technical challenges, resource constraints, and scheduling conflicts.
- Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen issues and ensure continuous project success.
Budget Management and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring expenses stay within approved limits.
- Provide financial reporting to stakeholders, tracking cost-effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate project forecasts, including timelines, budgets, and resource needs, to ensure proactive risk management.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure installations meet defined standards and client requirements.
- Work with teams to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to cloud phone system implementations.
Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
- Document technical specifications and installation processes for reference and ongoing support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in project management within telecommunications, VoIP, or IT industries.
- 1 years of experience managing projects related to cloud-based phone systems.
- Strong knowledge of VoIP, cloud phone system programming, structured cabling, and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- CompTIA Project , CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certification is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
