Responsibilities:
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee vendor maintenance, purchasing card programs, and weekly check runs
- Review journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
- Assist with 1099 prep, deposits, reporting, and filing of tax returns
- Collaborate across departments to resolve vendor/payment issues and recommend process improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 years of accounting or finance experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles, A/P, A/R, and journal entries
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across departments
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems
- Government or nonprofit sector experience
- Experience with enterprise accounting systems
- Familiarity with purchasing card programs, vendor management, or tax filings
