Independence Plus is now hiring a full-time Revenue Qualification Manager. This position will be based out of our Oak Brook, IL (DuPage County) office and reports to the Director of Reimbursement. Full benefits available; PTO, medical, dental, vision coverage and 401(k) plan.
The Revenue Qualification Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Revenue Qualification (RQ) team. This includes overseeing staff, reducing revenue holds related to Certificate of Medical Necessity (CMNs) and prior approvals, ensuring the timely confirmation of order deliveries, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). The manager will implement process improvements to minimize delays, drive team performance, and ensure compliance with payer requirements to optimize cash flow and reduce billing issues.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor the Revenue Qualification team, providing guidance and support to ensure individual and team performance
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure team members are knowledgeable about payer requirements, CMNs, and prior authorization processes
- Monitor daily workloads and assign tasks to ensure timely processing of orders, approvals, and documentation
- Oversee the review and submission of CMNs, prior authorizations, and related documentation to reduce revenue holds
- Collaborate with the billing and intake teams to streamline workflows and reduce delays in receiving payments
- Ensure all orders have appropriate documentation for delivery confirmation, including prior authorizations and CMNs
- Monitor order status and work with team members to follow up on outstanding approvals or documentation
- Continuously evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements to reduce revenue holds and improve workflow efficiency
- Ensure all team activities are compliant with payer regulations and internal company policies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer requirements and industry standards related to CMNs, prior authorizations, and delivery documentation
- Act as a liaison between the Revenue Qualification team and other departments such as billing, intake, and delivery to resolve issues and ensure a smooth workflow
- Oversee and manage insurance verification specialist
- Oversee and manage order confirmation of delivery
