What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at Independent Chemical Corporation?
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise and maintain our daily operations and perform internal audits.
- Maintain storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles and recommending improvements.
- Create production batch tickets following Warehouse Manage System (WMS).
- Develop and/or update existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for those working with potentially dangerous, hazardous chemicals.
- Work on identifying, communicating, and resolving gaps in the chemical warehouse operations.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- BA or BS degree; chemical operation familiarity; well-organized with ability to create, modify and maintain warehouse management systems and protocols.
- 3 - 8 years of chemical plant or chemical operations work experience.
- Experience in supervision of union employees.
- Strong writing and training skills; 3 -8 years of experience writing SOPs.
- Demonstrate flexibility in a very dynamic work environment; manage multiple tasks/functions concurrently.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Access).
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
- All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA and be fluent in English.
