Monitor the utilization level of CHS funds and advise all Health Center Director as to the current usage of existing contracts to maintain maximum efficiency, arid effectiveness. - Provide interpretation of guidelines, verification of claims, appropriateness of services, and irregularities in billing information received to Health Center Director and CHS Program staff for as needed regarding services with hospitals, clinics, physicians, dentists, and other providers. - Convene and facilitate Quality Assurance/Utilization Reviews by conducting monthly (or as required) CHS Committee meetings. - Monitor and evaluate private contractors through continuous customer surveys and on-going open communication. - Establish and maintain mechanisms for assuring that patients register for benefits for which they may be eligible to ensure that CHS is the last payor for medical services, which requires knowledge of availability and use of alternate resources, such as Medicare, Medicaid, State health insurance programs, and private insurance. - Ensure that current eligibility criteria followed in the administration of the CHS program which requires familiarity with the regulations and ability to explain the regulations to providers and CHS Program staff.
