We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Accountant in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role lies within the financial services industry and the workplace will be in a traditional office setting. The Accountant will be tasked with a variety of accounting functions, including the processing and reporting of financial data using different software systems. Responsibilities:• Journal entries, Job costing, end of month • Maintenance and updating of customer credit records on a regular basis• Prompt and effective resolution of customer inquiries related to their accounts• Proactive monitoring of customer accounts and taking necessary actions when required• Conducting month-end close activities which include account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements• Tracking, analyzing, and addressing variances against project costs and allocated overheads• Preparing and posting journal entries such as prepaids, accruals, and depreciation in accordance with company policies• Utilizing Accounting Software Systems such as Sage 100 and QuickBooks for efficient financial processing and reporting• Assisting in audits and implementing process improvements to enhance overall accounting efficiencies• Balancing sheet account tasks, including the handling of both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
