Type: Urban Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 / Per Year Open Period: 11/13/2024 until filled Summary: MISSION: Improving the lives of individuals and families through Native American culturally appropriate behavioral health, affordable housing, and community development services. POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee and direct the overall operations of quality and compliance within Integrated Health to ensure continuous improvement and compliance. The Manager of Quality and Compliance provides leadership and expertise to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care services. Duties: RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees the quality improvement program inclusive of all staff, develops and maintains a written quality improvement plan and annual evaluation of the plan's effectiveness. Develops and maintains a performance measurement work plan and reporting calendar to ensure timely data collection, aggregation, analysis, and reporting of established performance measures related to key operational and clinical processes and outcomes. Manages electronic storage of quality improvement reports to promote ongoing access for key stakeholders. Oversees a compliance program, develops, and maintains a written compliance plan and annual evaluation of the plan's effectiveness; ensures that all required elements of a compliance program are addressed. Manages NAC's Integrated Health Policies and Procedures to ensure policy meets regulatory compliance and reflects behavioral health/physical health operations. Serves as a resource for the Senior Director of Behavioral and Integrated Health Services for all external and internal compliance audits; ensures that corrective action plans are documented in a timely manner and effectively implemented. Develops and maintains up-to-date knowledge of compliance requirements and related laws and regulations; attends outside corporate compliance training as directed by leadership. Oversees risk management program, develops, and maintains a written risk management plan and annual evaluation of the plan's effectiveness. Reviews and responds to legal concerns or requests regarding clinical services. Leads Policy and Procedure and Quality Management Committees. Oversees processes for internal incident reporting and Quality of Care concerns. Oversees a corporate-wide patient safety program, develops, and maintains a written patient safety plan and annual evaluation of the plan's effectiveness and develops and maintains policies and procedures related to the patient safety program. Collaborates with the Senior Director of Behavioral and Integrated Health Services and clinical leadership in the investigation of clinical events including sentinel events, sentinel event near misses, and significant adverse events; leads and/or participates in the development of root cause analyses as directed by the CMO. Primary administrator for various portals and Designated HIPAA Officer for NAC. Completes credentialing for NAC sites and providers with health plans and AHCCCS. Support and actively engage in practices of inclusion through Cultural Qualifications: EDUCATIONAL/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Master's degree in degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field and 1 -2 years of experience required or Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience working in behavioral health/integrated health field. CPHQ or other quality certification is preferred. SKILLS REQUIREMENT: Demonstrates a working knowledge in the principles of Quality Management. Demonstrates a working knowledge of Local, State and Federal standards / regulations, with an emphasis in the delivery of managed Medicaid services in Arizona. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and quality assurance standards. Ability to use sound judgment in decision making regarding the care and comfort of clients in physical or emotional distress. Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors, and vendors. Must demonstrate critical thinking, problem- solving and organizational and time management skills. Must be able to work cooperatively with others in a team approach.
