Special Events Coordinator

The Special Event Coordinator is an exciting position with potential to grow into a managerial role. ILF-ILFCB’s special event program includes festivals, outdoor activities, educational programs, entertainment, and offsite events.

Here are just a few examples of the unique programs this role coordinates:

• Baby Animal Days
• Renaissance Festival
• Maple Fest
• Farming Man Fest
• Full Moon Hikes
• Concerts
• Educational and craft classes
• Offsite tastings and craft beverage festivals

General tasks and responsibilities include:

• Correspond with event inquiries, vendors, instructors, and all outside parties involved in each event
• Participate in weekly team planning meetings
• Work with Media & Marketing team to promote events, including PR, TV, radio, and inhouse marketing
• Plan layout and infrastructure, create event maps as needed, and plan wayfinding routes to guide customers to each location
• Participate in merchandise design and ordering
• Holiday and festival décor setup and breakdown
• Schedule classes, trivia, live music, and other entertainment
• Provide support for Private Events team, as needed

Skills and experience:

• Strong communication and organizational skills are a must
• Proficiency on digital platforms such as Slack, G-Suite, Canva, Square POS
• A positive attitude and ability to communicate successfully
• Creativity and flexibility, being able to pivot and solve issues on the spot
• Professional event planning or coordination experience is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,161.00 - $44,900.00 per year
