Indiana University - University Enrollment Services (UES) supports the academic and student services missions of Indiana University by developing, coordinating, and managing university-wide shared services in the areas of admissions and transfer operations, financial aid, student records and data management, and military and veteran affairs. UES works closely with campus-based partners to enhance customer service; implement best practices; drive student-related technology development; comply with federal, state, and institutional guidelines; and support their overall enrollment and retention goals. This team uses data to identify new opportunities and to prioritize work, which drives innovation and creates efficiency across the University.
About the Role - Department-Specific Responsibilities - Reports to the Associate Vice President for University Enrollment Services (UES) under the Office of the Vice President for Strategic Operations and serves as a key member of the UES leadership team. Coordinates centralized Registrar support for 2 core campuses, 5 regional campuses, 2 regional centers, and IU Online, and serves as a subject matter expert to help all Registrar teams provide the highest-quality Registrar services. Works with the UES Registrar team to lead various systems enhancements and implementations (e.g., Stellic, Course Management System, and Parchment Storefront). Focuses on service and streamlining the administrative demands on students so they can focus on their academics and on social engagement with IU. Keeps the streamlined student experience top-of-mind, driving business success through innovation, data, and efficiency, and willing to collaboratively challenge the status quo to create optimal business processes. Strives to eliminate manual and paper-based processes through the efficient use of current and new technology; organizes the student records and data management unit to balance workload to allow for flexibility and achieve unit goals. Possesses a strong understanding of the Registrar role and a keen focus on data-driven decision-making. Focuses on understanding and upholding compliance with all federal, state, and institutional regulations. Leads student records enhancements within the Student Information System (SIS), PeopleSoft, and coordinates with campus partners, UES leadership, and UITS on project prioritization.
General Responsibilities - Contributes on senior leadership teams to formulate strategic planning and the highest-level operational objectives for registrar areas. Serves in a consultative capacity for all registrar services university-wide. Establishes long-term business plans and long-term strategic objectives. Directs leadership staff who provide supervision to registrar teams. Responsible for escalated operational issues, including human resources and/or people management situations. Drives innovation and excellence within the area of registrar services; reviews and creates policies and procedures. Determines overall budget for registrar teams; reviews and approves financial proposals from direct reporting leaders; has significant fiscal responsibilities that require frequent interaction with executive leaders. Provides expertise and identifies grant and/or funding opportunities; develops business relationships across the university and externally. Stays up-to-date on new registrar standards, technologies, policies, and procedures and works collaboratively with other registrar leaders across departments and/or campuses in determining standards, best practices, and related policies/procedures; ensures the adoption and implementation by direct reporting leaders.

Working Conditions / Demands - This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. Advertised Salary - $115,000-$130,000 based upon with experience.
