What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Indium Corporation?
JOB SUMMARY: The Receptionist is responsible for assuring that the front entrance and lobby are accessible, neat and professional, and that visitors and callers are cordially greeted and efficiently routed to qualified personnel for assistance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
• Provide professional reception services, including greeting and routing visitors or corporate switchboard callers
• Ensure visitors sign the visitor log, are provided a security badge and are announced
• Post visitor names on greeting board upon employee request
• Track employees in-and-out of office to ensure visitors and callers are efficiently served
• Personally respond to general inquiries such as, but not limited to, hours of operation, facility addresses, directions and contact information
• Assess, log and route all incoming requests to appropriate, qualified personnel
• Sort and organize incoming mail for distribution
• Ensure the front sidewalks and entrance are both shoveled and sanded during winter season
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• GED or HS Diploma and either one year certificate from college or technical school or 1 year related experience and/or training
• Ability to learn switchboard and related software operation
• Ability to work independently, prioritize and complete a wide variety of assignments
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with general office machines and equipment
• Typing skills 40-50 wpm with less than 2% error rate
• PC and Microsoft Office experience
• Ability to perform basic mathematical problems

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
