Industrial Communications West has an excellent new opportunity for a Construction Project Estimator!

The Construction Project Estimator is proactive and stays ahead of the tasks at hand. Can foresee problems before they occur and take steps necessary to mitigate issues. They are confident and can work with little direction in a sometimes-hectic environment. They can reprioritize quickly and are able to multitask.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and mange project budgets ensuring cost control to stay on budget.
- Coordinate with multiple work groups to ensure the proper approvals are received prior to construction process.
- Determine and allocate necessary resources, materials, and equipment.
- Develop and maintain a detailed schedule for assigned project and actively manage the scheduled tasks with outside vendors and internal resources including major milestones, action items, long lead purchases and any other commitments that would impact the project schedule.
- Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with all safety and building code.
- Host weekly planning and working sessions with primary stakeholders to review project status, define critical issues, develop deliverables and associated timelines, assign primes and track action items.
- Provide periodic reports to executive teams that identify critical risks & proposed solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience
- Project management experience (PM certification is strongly preferred)
- Telecommunications construction experience is desirable
- Strong skill with MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills
- Understanding of Wireless/Cellular network connectivity and hardware
- Ability to work in multiple databases to ensure dates, milestones, and critical information is well documented throughout the project.
- Capability to generate reports on critical timelines including all pertinent information.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record for the past 3-5 years, valid driver's license, clean or acceptable criminal background check, and clean substance screening
