Industrial Inspection & Analysis, Nuclear Services division is looking for a qualified, detailed and skilled Quality Manager for our San Antonio, Texas location!
Summary
The Quality Manager for the Nuclear Services business unit is responsible for the overarching quality program and activities ensuring compliance to 10CFR50, Appendix B; ANSI N45.2; ANSI/ASME NQA‐1; 10CFR, Part 21; and other applicable standards. The Quality Manager will work directly with the General Manager and other company leadership to ensure the quality program is implemented to deliver the right quality for our customers, ensure compliance with regulatory standards and agencies, and ensure continual improvement across all activities of the business. Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Support meeting customer needs by leading initiatives to drive safe and quality execution of all projects. Support / facilitate customer visits from a quality perspective.
- Work with the Safety Manager to ensure safe work practices and compliance to applicable laws, regulations, and company procedures / policies as they apply to operational quality activities.
- Lead overall implementation and administration of the company quality program(s) including required / applicable processes and operating rhythms. Lead and work with key stakeholders owning full compliance of the total program. Develop and maintain quality system documentation and review process to ensure the quality system is current, groups are properly following it, and that records are accurate.
- Manage quality system audits to ensure proper culture and compliance to the established program including applicable initiation and leading of corrective action, non-conformance, and / or continuous improvement.
- Establish and manage applicable business metrics and associated operating rhythms for the business such as cycle times, execution quality, on time delivery, productivity, cost of quality, etc.
- Ensure proper communication and training of associated procedures / programs across the company.
- Ensure information systems are accurately maintained.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have strong skills in the following:
- >5 years of experience in the service industry with a focus on leading large quality programs and >2 years experience in a quality management role.
- Able to lead others and communicate clearly working across multiple layers of organizations. Able to work and lead as part of a team.
- Advanced written and oral communication demonstrating good interpersonal skills in building effective working relationships with customers, subordinates, and peers.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize work, analyze and solve problems, and complete paperwork accurately.
- Experience working independently under pressure performing multiple tasks and with multiple deadlines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs including skills to navigate web-based service literature and programs.
Desired Skills
- NDT and nuclear power plant experience heavily desired.
- Understanding of equipment maintenance repair economics.
- Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma operational experience.
