What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman position at Industrial Parkway Services?
Industrial Parkway Services is currently searching for a Foreman to join their team! This position oversees various labor activities on the job with 1-4 crew members. Tasks may include snow removal, general carpentry, construction, landscaping and general maintenance.
Qualifications :
Education - High School Diploma (or GED) is preferred.
Direct experience in carpentry, landscaping, construction, concrete pouring or general maintenance.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Responsibilities :
Supervise and direct crew members to complete tasks for current project.
Promotes a safe workplace environment by having situational awareness of moving vehicles, equipment, and other potential hazards.
Follows directions given by manager for tasks and projects.
Ensures that timelines are met, and records and reports are accurate and maintained.
General carpentry and construction, including but not limited to; painting, patching dry wall and block; hanging boards, pictures, displays or large TVs in drywall and block; small concrete jobs, and move or repair office furniture.
Demonstrates general knowledge regarding the type of work that may be assigned to this position.
Assists with checking and loading equipment and supplies and performing labor duties when appropriate.
Communicates effectively with crew members and manager.
Physical Demands :
The individual may be required to remain in a stationary position for some of the time while working at job sites.
The individual frequently positions self to operate hand tools and remove debris from certain areas.
About 50% of the time, they must push, pull, and / or move up to seventy-five pounds of different parts and equipment required to do the job.
Occasionally move about the job site to transport parts, access tools, equipment, and other necessary items to complete projects.
Work Environment :
Employee sometimes exposed to vibration from use of power tools.
Exposed to outdoor weather conditions from working on outside projects.
Required to wear personal protective equipment due to exposure of certain power machinery.
Depending on the project, this individual may be required to wear gloves, goggles, hard hat, and steel-toed boots.
