ISI is seeking talented and experienced Mig, Tig, and Stick welders for our Pipe Fabrication Shop.
This position is responsible for welding and fabricating pipe and tube (stainless and carbon steel).
A successful candidate must have the ability to accurately weld and fabricate, from blueprints, pipe and tubing, as well as miscellaneous items such as, framework, skids, steps, and hand rails (many of these welds are out of position).
As a Welder/Fabricator, you'll:
- Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan layouts
- Layout, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications
- Tack weld or weld components and assemblies using electric, gas, arc or other welding techniques and equipment (MIG/ TIG & HELIARCH)
- Determine required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy and welding techniques
- Responsible for inspecting and assessing the quality and strength of welding work
- Responsible for welding various metals: Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Steel, Bronze/Brass, etc.
- Responsible for making sure fabricated parts are correctly marked with location, part # and any other relevant information
- Moves finished materials into appropriate storage areas
- Communicate and coordinate with Shop Administration for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently
- Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items
- Performs other duties as assigned
This position pays $25/hour OR MORE, depending on experience, qualifications and skills. We also offer health, dental, vision and short-term disability insurance, plus a company-matched retirement plan.
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this position, you must:
* Have solid welding experience/training;
* Pass a weld/fabrication test (mig and stick);
* Know how to read and fabricate from blueprints;
* Provide your own hand tools (the tools of the trade);
* Pass a drug screen and background check.
