Warehouse Manager (Brea)

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Manager oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, safe practices, and seamless communication across teams. Responsibilities include managing transportation logistics, maintaining ERP systems, training and evaluating staff, and upholding safety and company policies. This hands-on role involves actively participating in tasks, leading by example, and meeting operational goals while ensuring compliance with ADA and business standards.

Communication

• Provide daily and weekly updates to the team, WOM, MPM and GM.
• Escalate issues to WOM as needed.
• Conduct start-of-shift walkthroughs to set daily priorities for employees.
• Respond to sales questions and update the Google communication form at least twice daily.
• Facilitate daily in-person, telephone, and email communications across the company.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the P21 system daily.
• Oversee paperwork systems for packing, picking, shipping, and receiving notes.
• Arrange cost-effective freight and transport bookings.
• Manage the company fleet, driver workload, and route efficiencies.
• Monitor timekeeping in Bamboo, ensuring missed punch forms are submitted.
• Approving PTO requests in Bamboo
• Check warehouse supply orders weekly.
• Review and coordinate purchasing pick-up schedules with drivers daily.
• Report any IT issues to WTC or IT Systems Manager.

Personnel Management

• Conduct onboarding, interviews, product training, and offboarding processes.
• Manage performance reviews, including 90-day and annual evaluations.
• Handle employee disciplinary actions (EC 1-4) and ensure compliance with timekeeping policies.
• Manage forklift training (initial and annual) and uphold attendance policies.
• Collaborate with HR on employee issues and escalate to WOM when necessary.
• Oversee temp agency timecards and ensure payroll readiness.
• Open and close the site daily, managing responsibilities accordingly.

Working Manager Duties

• Perform warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, shipping, and will-call customer service alongside team members.
• Lead by example, maintaining safe and efficient work standards, and filling gaps in the workload.

Processes and Health & Safety

• Conduct monthly safety meetings and training.
• Manage accident reports.
• Ensure daily completion of forklift and vehicle safety inspection sheets.
• Enforce warehouse safety protocols for personnel and visitors.
• Maintain power trucks, vehicles, scales, and safety materials (e.g., fall harnesses, eyewash stations).
• Oversee opening/closing site processes, including building security and vehicle storage.

Inventory Management

• Develop product knowledge and convey expertise.
• Ensure accurate and timely system entries to meet department expectations.
• Handle parcel shipments (UPS/USPS/FedEx), cycle counting, safe movement/storage, and returns.
• Manage stock loss procedures, write-offs, and scrap processes with proper documentation.

IT Systems

• Regularly use of RingCentral phone system, PA system, label printers, fax, PC, and other hardware.
• Operate ERP software and Microsoft Outlook for daily operations.

Targets and Goals

• Achieve daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals as set by the Senior Management Team.
