We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Childcare Director to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in both leadership and hands-on classroom roles, blending administrative duties with active participation in the learning environment.

About the Role:

The Assistant Childcare Director plays a pivotal role in the success of our academy by balancing leadership responsibilities with part-time classroom involvement. This dual role requires a dedicated professional who can seamlessly support educators, build relationships with families, and ensure excellence in both operations and child development.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

• Ensure daily operations meet Texas childcare licensing standards.
• Collaborate with the Director to lead and support a team of educators, fostering a professional and positive culture.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including enrollment, scheduling, and compliance.

Classroom Support (Part-Time):

Spend part of each day working in classrooms to:

• Assist educators in implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Build meaningful connections with children and support their growth and learning.
• Model effective teaching and classroom management strategies.
• Actively contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

Staff Development:

• Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring teachers and support staff.
• Conduct regular staff evaluations and facilitate professional development opportunities.

Family & Community Engagement:

• Serve as a point of contact for parents, addressing concerns and fostering open communication.
• Promote the academy by building relationships within the community and participating in events.

Program Oversight:

• Help implement and refine the academy’s curriculum to ensure alignment with developmental goals.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance educational offerings to meet the needs of all learners.

Financial & Marketing Support:

• Support budgeting, tuition management, and resource allocation.
• Assist in strategies to increase enrollment, including social media marketing and outreach initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Preferred)
• At least 2 years of leadership experience in a childcare or early education setting.
• Strong knowledge of Texas childcare licensing standards and safety protocols.
• Exceptional organizational, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with childcare management software and marketing tools is a plus.
