Position Summary:
The HR Coordinator/ Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the HR Department's overall functions, including policy development, recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, compliance with laws, and performance management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain employee records in both hard and digital formats.
- Participate in the development of departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
- Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics.
- Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
- Liaise with external partners, such as insurance vendors, ensuring legal compliance.
- Conduct new employee orientations and manage employee relations, including onboarding, counseling, and exit interviews.
- Assist with performance management procedures.
- Audit employee timesheets and assist with payroll and reimbursements.
- Maintain departmental records and reports; participate in administrative staff meetings as applicable.
- Maintain the employee directory.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as assigned.
- Responsible for agency-wide human resources planning and development.
- Provide functional guidance for administrative support needs.

Physical Demands:
This position requires regular talking and hearing. Frequent standing, walking, and handling of files are necessary. The role is largely sedentary but involves filing, which may require lifting files and bending or standing on a stool.
Position Type:
This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Travel is primarily local during business hours.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position manages direct support employees in the department and is responsible for their leadership, performance management, and hiring.
Work Environment:
This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree and two (2) years of HR experience, OR
2. Five (5) years of HR experience, OR
3. Any appropriate combination of education and experience.
