Job Summary
The Revenue Cycle Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the financial processes associated with patient care. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and effective management of accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare billing practices and a commitment to maintaining compliance with regulations while enhancing the overall revenue cycle efficiency.

Duties

• Review and process patient accounts to ensure accurate billing and coding.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payment.
• Analyze revenue cycle performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and industry trends.
• Assist in training staff on revenue cycle processes and best practices.
• Prepare reports related to billing, collections, and revenue cycle performance.

Skills

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting.
• Proficient in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT coding, and other relevant healthcare regulations.
