Job Summary
The Revenue Cycle Manager at PrairieStar Health Center plays a critical role in overseeing the medical revenue cycle, ensuring seamless interactions between patients, providers, and payors. This position is responsible for supervising staff in call centers, registration, billing, and patient account services, fostering effective communication and collaboration across departments.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the medical revenue cycle, excluding coding responsibilities, while collaborating closely with the coding department to ensure accurate and efficient claims processing.
- Supervise staff in various areas, including the medical call center, registration desks, billing office, and patient financial services, providing guidance on hiring, training, performance evaluation, mentorship, and disciplinary actions.
- Cultivate strong relationships with patients, insurance payors, vendors, staff, and providers through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Work collaboratively with other departments, such as human resources, information technology, dental, vision, and others, to achieve shared objectives.
- Maintain and develop policies and procedures related to billing, reimbursement, call center operations, and front desk services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Address patient complaints and concerns, resolving issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Oversee the collection of delinquent accounts and explore strategies to reduce outstanding balances.
- Participate in required meetings and committees, contributing expertise and insights to drive organizational success.
Educational Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; a college education is preferred but not required.
